Desk sets for February 23 (Cyprus)
Custom desk sets as Defender of the Fatherland Day gifts in Cyprus — runs from 20 sets, 10–14 day Limassol production with male-recipient-friendly components.
Why a desk set fits a Cyprus February 23 brief
February 23 is widely observed across Cyprus's Russian-speaking professional and business community — typically a 200-person firm with 40–60 Russian-speaking staff marks the day with a small gift. A 3-piece leather-look PU desk set (document tray, business card holder, pen cup) in dark tan with a single-tone corporate wordmark hits the brief at €42 per set: useful, doesn't read as gender-coded, and stays on the desk for the rest of the year. For firms that prefer a more traditional register, a 2-piece leather-look pen-and-notebook set with a stainless-steel Parker-style pen is the alternative at €36 per set.
Models and materials that fit
The default 3-piece February 23 set is the leather-look PU document tray (260×200×40 mm), the matching business card holder (95×60×15 mm), and the matching pen cup (75×75×100 mm) in dark tan or charcoal at €42 per set on 30-unit runs. The alternative 2-piece pen-and-notebook set is the Moleskine-style A5 hardbound notebook with the stainless-steel Parker-style pen in a velvet pouch at €36 per set. For a more masculine-leaning register we offer a stainless-steel hip-flask and cigar-cutter combo in a kraft gift box at €28 per set.
Prints and branding approaches
The February 23 gift carries the corporate wordmark on the desk set or the notebook — we avoid date-specific marks like "23 February 2026" because the gift is then re-giftable for years rather than dated. The laser-engraved wordmark in the bottom-right corner of each piece is the right register. For the hip-flask we screen-print a discreet company monogram on the leather sleeve.
Bundling and packaging
Each set ships in a rigid magnetic-closure kraft box with a hand-written card from the CEO or the country lead. For Russian-speaking recipients we add a Cyrillic-script card insert at €0.40 per unit. For office-based recipients we deliver to the HR reception 48 hours before 23 February; for remote recipients we ship to home addresses via ACS Limassol on a 24–48 hour turnaround.
Runs, lead times, and budgets
February 23 set runs land between 20 and 80 sets per year depending on the firm's Russian-speaking headcount. Standard production is 10–14 business days; for a February 23 delivery, order by mid-January. Ballpark — €28–€42 per set depending on configuration.
Cyprus context
Cyprus has a large Russian-speaking professional community anchored in Limassol's wealth-management and shipping sector, with secondary clusters in Nicosia's legal and accounting firms and Paphos's hospitality sector. February 23 is observed alongside the wider international cycle (Valentine's Day falls in the same week, so we recommend picking distinct gift categories to avoid doubling up). The Limassol production line books out 3 weeks ahead of February 23 — late orders may have to swap to stock items.
Frequently asked questions
What's the lead time for a February 23 delivery?
Order by mid-January for a standard 10–14 business day production. Rush runs of 7 business days are possible if the order is in by late January. The Limassol production line books out 3 weeks ahead of February 23 — late orders may have to swap to stock items or accept a post-23 arrival.
Can we include a Cyrillic-script card inside the gift?
Yes — a Cyrillic-script card insert (90×130 mm) with a Russian-language greeting is included at €0.40 per unit on top of the hand-written card. The Cyrillic insert reads "С Днём защитника Отечества!" in our standard typography, or we can run a custom message from the CEO at €1.20 per unit.
Can the desk set carry the corporate monogram?
Yes — we laser-engrave the corporate wordmark in the bottom-right corner of each piece at no extra cost. For a centred monogram on the document tray lid the laser set-up fee is €40 per piece. We avoid date-specific marks so the gift remains re-giftable for years.
What's the smallest February 23 set run you take on?
20 sets per cycle. Below that we offer a pre-built box option with a custom belly band at €34 per set on 10-unit runs. The pre-built route is faster (5 business days) and works well for very small teams that want to acknowledge the day without a big production run.
Can the set include an alcohol item like a hip-flask?
Yes — the stainless-steel hip-flask (180 ml, leather sleeve) and cigar-cutter combo is the most popular February 23 alternative at €28 per set. The flask is pre-filled with a 50 ml sample of Commandaria or Armenian brandy at €6 per unit extra.
Can we ship the set to home addresses across Cyprus?
Yes — we ship individual sets across Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos and the Famagusta coast via ACS Limassol on a 24–48 hour turnaround. For Russian-speaking recipients returning to Moscow or St Petersburg for the holiday we offer DHL shipments at cost plus handling.
