Why a DIFC boardroom notebook is different from an Aldar property page
A DIFC boardroom notebook sits on the chairman's table at a board meeting. The cover is PU leather, the corners are rounded, the inside cover carries the company's tagline and values, and the spine has the corporate crest debossed in gold. An Aldar property-page notebook sits in a sales agent's hand during a Saadiyat villa walkthrough — same PU leather but in landscape orientation, with a built-in pen holder. The fabric of the notebook is the same, the role of the notebook is different. Three notebooks for the three main UAE roles
The Bristol A5 is the standard — A5 size, 80 gsm cream paper, 80 sheets (160 pages), casebound, ribbon marker, PU leather cover. AED 22 at 100 units, AED 17 at 500. The Bristol A6 is the pocket alternative — A6, 80 sheets, PU cover, ribbon marker. AED 14 at 100, AED 11 at 500. The Bristol Kraft is the sustainability option — A5, 80 sheets of recycled paper (FSC mix), kraft cover with a debossed logo. AED 28 at 100, AED 22 at 500.
Debossing, foil, and the corporate crest
Debossing is the standard on PU leather — the corporate crest sits flush into the cover, no ink, just a clean impression. Gold-foil stamp is the premium tier for board packs and VIP gifts — common for the ENBD and FAB VIP partner kits. Screen print on the cover is for promotional volumes under 100 units at AED 1.80 per print. UV print on a kraft cover is the dominant method for the Aldar and Emaar sustainability programmes — the print sits flat on the kraft, no shine, with the FSC mix credit printed on the inside back cover.
Personalisation and inside-cover content
For boardroom packs, we personalise the inside cover with the recipient's name, title and board meeting date at AED 2.50 per unit additional. For weddings, we print the wedding programme on the inside back cover. For sales agent kits, we print the property overview on the inside cover and a QR code linking to the digital brochure. The inside-cover print is the same water-based ink as the outer cover — no plastic laminate on the inner pages.
MOQ, lead times and AED pricing
Standard MOQ is 50 units for the Bristol A5 and Bristol A6, 30 for the Bristol Kraft. Debossed orders under 250 pieces ship in 8 working days; 250–1,000 in 10 days; runs above 1,000 with foil-stamped crests in 12 days. Pricing in AED, VAT 5% added on the FTA EmaraTax e-invoice. Sample notebook with logo debossed ships in 4 working days; sample cost credited at 200+ unit orders.

DIFC board packs are the largest single peak — 22,000-piece deliveries in 2024 alone across the 600+ member firms. Banking branch rollouts (ENBD, FAB, Mashreq, ADCB) take 4,000 pieces per quarter on average. Real-estate sales agent kits at Aldar, Emaar, DAMAC, Nakheel are a steady year-round business. University welcome kits at UAEU, Khalifa University and the American University of Sharjah drive the September peak. What's the difference between PU leather and bonded leather for a boardroom notebook?
The Bristol A5 uses a PU leather cover that is animal-free and holds the same look and feel as bonded leather. It does not crack or peel in 45°C heat the way bonded leather does at month 12. For the DIFC boardroom packs, PU leather is the corporate procurement default.
Can the notebook be personalised with the recipient's name on the inside cover?
Yes. We personalise the inside cover with the recipient's name, title and meeting date at AED 2.50 per unit additional. For the ENBD VIP partner kit we deliver 200-piece monthly orders with the name and partner tier printed on the inside cover.
Is the Bristol Kraft notebook FSC certified?
Yes. The cover is FSC mix (50% recycled / 50% new) and the inner pages are 100% recycled, FSC mix credit printed on the inside back cover. The swing tag carries the FSC mark. The Aldar and Emaar ESG programmes require this certification.
What pen works with the Bristol A5 ribbon marker?
The Bristol A5 ships with a satin ribbon marker in red, navy, black or burgundy. The Bristol A6 has a single ribbon. The Bristol Kraft ships with a recycled PET ribbon marker in green. Custom colour ribbons are available at AED 0.80 per unit additional.
Can the notebook be ordered with a built-in pen loop?
Yes. The Bristol A5 with a built-in elastic pen loop on the spine is a standard variant at the same per-unit price, MOQ 50. We offer the matching brushed-aluminium pen or the kraft-paper pen at AED 8.50 additional per pen.
Can the inside cover carry a printed table of contents or a project plan?
Yes. We print a 2-page inside cover spread on the Bristol A5 at AED 1.80 per unit additional. Common for the Aldar sales agent kit (property overview), the DIFC board pack (board meeting agenda) and the ADNOC graduate kit (90-day onboarding plan).
