Notebooks for the logistics sector (Cyprus)

A5 hardcover notebooks, driver field books and depot staff-room notebooks for Cyprus 3PLs, courier fleets and freight forwarders. MOQ 50 units, 10–14 business days, quotes in EUR.

Why logistics operators need hard-wearing notebooks

A Limassol courier carries a notebook on every shift to log the daily POD (proof-of-delivery) exceptions, customer queries and depot handovers — the notebook has to survive rain, hand-sanitiser and being thrown into a depot bag every shift. The Limassol port and free-zone warehouse supervisors use a notebook for shift handover notes, safety briefings and incident logs — the notebook has to lie flat on a clipboard for the supervisor to write on. The Larnaca freight forwarders issue a branded notebook to depot staff who fly to client meetings — the notebook has to read as office-appropriate in a Limassol boardroom. The notebook has to survive daily warehouse and depot abuse and be presentable for a client meeting.

Models and materials that fit

The workhorse for driver field books is the Moleskine Classic 144-page A5 with a hard cover, an elastic closure, a bookmark ribbon and 90 gsm ivory paper — the standard depot notebook format. For warehouse supervisor notebooks we move up to the Moleskine Pro 192-page A5 with a hard cover, an elastic closure and 100 gsm ruled paper — the heavier paper and the larger page count suit daily depot use. For client Christmas hampers we use the Moleskine Art Plus A5 with 120 gsm dotted-grid paper and a leather-look PU cover — the wider silhouette reads as premium to the client. For ESG-reporting operators we supply the Moleskine Reporter A5 in 100% recycled cardboard, 80 gsm paper, GRS-certified supply chain.

Prints and branding approaches

Debossed foil stamping is the standard for operator logo — gold or silver foil on the cover carries the logo cleanly and survives 2+ years of depot carry. Two-colour deboss is €0.85 per notebook, three-colour is €1.30. For client Christmas hampers we add a 4-colour cover print on the wraparound paper band — €0.65 per notebook upgrade. For ESG-reporting operators we use a soy-ink 1-colour print on the recycled cover. We never use heat-press vinyl on a depot notebook because it lifts after 6 months at the spine fold.

Bundling and packaging

Driver field books ship in bulk (50 per master carton) for forklift handling at the Limassol DC. Depot staff-room notebooks ship in individual gift boxes (a recycled cardboard two-piece with a paper insert) for the depot reception. Client Christmas hampers ship in a rigid two-piece box with a magnetic closure, wrapped in 25 gsm acid-free tissue and a satin ribbon. Bulk operator procurements for 500+ units are packed on a EUR-pallet from the Limassol warehouse.

Runs, lead times, and budgets

MOQ is 50 units for the Moleskine Classic 144-page A5, 50 for the Pro 192-page and 30 for the Art Plus A5 with dotted grid. Lead time is 10 business days for the Classic 144, 14 business days for the Pro 192 and the Art Plus. Budget band: €14–€22 per unit at 100 units for the Classic 144 A5, dropping to €11 at 500; €18–€28 for the Pro 192 A5; €22–€34 for the Art Plus A5. Quotes are EUR net, VAT 19% added for Cyprus-registered logistics operators.

Cyprus context

The depot staff-notebook cycle runs continuously across Cyprus 3PLs and courier operators but peaks at the September and January depot resets. The December customer-appreciation cycle is the largest single operator procurement — typically 100–200 notebooks per operator, ordered in October for a November delivery. Cyprus-registered 3PL operators (ACS Courier, EMS Cyprus, Skynet, PrimeCare) and freight forwarders (DHL Global Forwarding Larnaca, Kuehne+Nagel Limassol, Expeditors) typically run two notebook cycles per year — January (post-Christmas peak) and September (back-to-school shipping surge). Cyprus logistics operators also run a smaller summer wave in June for the year-end accident-free awards.

Frequently asked questions

Which notebook survives 6 months of courier duty at a Limassol depot?

The Moleskine Classic 144-page A5 with a hard cover, an elastic closure and a bookmark ribbon. The hard cover protects the pages from being bent in a depot bag, the elastic closure keeps the notebook shut, and the 90 gsm ivory paper holds ballpoint ink without bleeding through. We have run 300-piece depot-notebook cycles for two Limassol-port operators on the same SKU and the page-tear rate at 12 months is under 2%.

Can you match our operator logo with fine detail?

Yes — fine detail (small text, gradients, multiple colours) is best reproduced with a 4-colour process print on the wraparound paper band rather than two-colour Pantone deboss. The 4-colour process carries fine detail and gradients that two-colour deboss cannot. We will produce a strike-off proof for approval before the production run. 4-colour print is €0.65 per notebook over the deboss baseline; set-up is €85 per colour and is amortised across the run.

Can we have a different rider name on each notebook for the driver-recognition set?

Yes — variable-data foil stamping is the standard for driver-recognition sets. Send the rider list as a CSV (rider_name, route_number, depot_code) and we run a single-pass foil run. Per-variable cost is €0.18 per notebook over the fixed-foil baseline. We can also print the operator logo on the cover and the rider's name + route on the inside cover, in two Pantone-matched colours.

How fast can a 200-piece depot staff-notebook order turn around?

10 business days for the Classic 144 after artwork approval. Submit vector files by Day 0 and the order ships from Limassol by Day 10 — that meets the typical September and January depot-reset cycles. We hold a 3-day rush lane for genuine depot emergencies (a depot rebrand, a sponsor drop-out); rush premium is +22% and the slot has to be confirmed by phone.

Can the notebook be supplied with a hi-vis cover for night-shift use?

Yes — for runs above 200 units we custom-bind the notebook in a hi-vis yellow-orange PU cover with EN ISO 20471-class 2 reflective tape sewn into the spine. The hi-vis cover is €3.40 per notebook over the standard cover baseline and adds 5 business days to the lead time. The reflective tape is sewn-on (not printed) for 50+ wash durability, and the notebook is machine-washable at 30°C. We supply this for the Larnaca night-shift depot operators.

Can you supply the recycled-cardboard Reporter for an ESG-reporting operator?

Yes — the Moleskine Reporter A5 in 100% recycled cardboard, 80 gsm paper, GRS-certified supply chain. The lighter weight and the recycled content are intentional — the notebook has to lie flat on a clipboard for the warehouse supervisor to write on, and the recycled content is citable in the operator's annual CSRD report. The Reporter ships with a hangtag showing the recycled content and a one-page traceability dossier per batch.
