Branded mugs — corporate merch in the UAE
Custom mugs for DIFC office pantries, ADNOC site pantries, hotel-room amenity kits and tourism-board welcome packs. Ceramic 330 ml, single-side and full-wrap print, dishwasher-safe inks, MOQ 50 units, 8–12 working days.
Why a hotel-room mug wears differently than an office-pantry mug
A Burj Al Arab guest-room mug gets washed by the hotel laundry 200 times a year, often at 80°C with industrial detergent. A DIFC office-pantry mug goes through a domestic dishwasher once a day at 65°C. Both need to look perfect on day one, but the hotel mug needs higher-grade print. The kitchen-grade ceramic with sublimation coating survives the hotel cycle; the economy-grade transfer print is fine for pantry use. We've delivered 22,000-piece hotel-room mug programmes for Atlantis, Jumeirah and the Address, and 4,000-piece office-pantry rollouts for FAB, ENBD and the DIFC member firms.
Two mugs for two UAE roles
The Oxford 330 is the kitchen-grade ceramic, C-shaped handle, 330 ml capacity, sublimation-coated for photographic artwork. AED 14 at 100 units, AED 10 at 500. The Conical 280 is the espresso-grade alternative — 280 ml, conical shape, restaurant-grade thermal shock resistance. AED 18 at 100, AED 14 at 500. For premium partner gifts, the Stoneware 350 has a matte-fired exterior with a glossy interior and 350 ml capacity. AED 28 at 50 units, MOQ 30.
Print methods and the dishwasher-safe question
Sublimation print on a poly-coated ceramic delivers photographic-quality artwork at AED 3.20 per print area, dishwasher-safe to 200 industrial cycles at 80°C. Direct-to-mug UV print is for short runs under 50 pieces — common for the Alserkal Avenue residency drops — at AED 6.50 per print, dishwasher-safe to 100 domestic cycles. Pad printing is reserved for one-colour corporate logos on solid colour ways, AED 0.90 per print, dishwasher-safe to 500 cycles. For full-wrap artwork on the Oxford 330, the print area is 220 × 90 mm with a 3 mm bleed.
Packing for hotels, pantries, and welcome packs
Hotel-room amenity mugs ship in foam-cradle cartons of 36 pieces, sized to fit standard housekeeping carts. Office pantry rolls go in 50-piece cartons with a delivery code sticker. Welcome-pack mugs for the Louvre Abu Dhabi or the tourism-board programme are individually boxed in a printed EPE foam cradle with a swing tag, at AED 4.50 per box premium. Each mug carries the OEKO-TEX 100 tag for ceramic safety and the dishwasher-safe print warranty.
MOQ, lead times and AED pricing
Standard MOQ is 50 units for the Oxford and Conical, 30 for the Stoneware. Sublimation orders under 250 pieces ship in 8 working days; 250–1,000 in 10 days; runs above 1,000 with custom shapes in 12–14 days. Pricing in AED, VAT 5% added on the FTA EmaraTax e-invoice. Sample mug with logo printed ships in 4 working days; sample cost credited at 200+ unit orders.
UAE context — what drives the demand
Hospitality mugs are the largest segment — Jumeirah Group alone operates 35,000 rooms across its UAE portfolio. Financial-services office pantry programmes run on 12-month replacement cycles. Tourism-board welcome packs for the cruise lines at Port Rashid and the desert-camp operators rotate quarterly. The Louvre Abu Dhabi and the Museum of the Future run ongoing member-gift programmes. We hold the Oxford 330 in white at our Jebel Ali warehouse year-round.
Frequently asked questions
How many dishwasher cycles does the sublimation print survive at a hotel laundry?
200 industrial cycles at 80°C on the Oxford 330 with kitchen-grade sublimation coating. We test every production batch with a 50-cycle pre-shipment dishwasher check. The economy-grade transfer print tops out at 80 cycles — fine for office pantries, not for hotel-room amenity use.
Can the mug carry a photograph or full-bleed artwork for a tourism-board campaign?
Yes. Sublimation print on the Oxford 330 with a 220 × 90 mm print area and a 3 mm bleed. Common for the Alserkal Avenue member drops, the Louvre Abu Dhabi gift shop, and the Dubai Design Week programme. MOQ 50, lead time 10 working days for runs under 250.
Is the mug safe for the ENBD office-pantry microwave use?
Yes. The Oxford 330 and Conical 280 are both microwave-safe and certified for food contact under UAE/GCC standards. We can supply the test certificate on request for the ENBD and FAB pantry-rotation programmes.
What's the smallest run you accept for a single-colour corporate logo?
30 units. Below that, the pad-print screen setup dominates per-unit cost. For 15-unit runs (VIP partner gift), the Stoneware 350 in matte black with a one-colour pad print is the typical quote, at AED 38 per unit.
Can you ship the mugs pre-packed in a welcome-pack kit for the Abu Dhabi tourism board?
Yes. We assemble the mug with a notebook, pen and a regional sweet in a printed EPE foam cradle inside a kraft box. The kit ships pre-packed in 12-piece carton packs. MOQ 100 kits, lead time 14 working days.
What about a metallic-print or rose-gold mug for a premium VIP partner gift?
The Stoneware 350 in matte white with a reactive gold-foil print is our premium tier — AED 48 at 50 units, MOQ 30. The reactive gold-foil print is dishwasher-safe to 100 cycles but not industrial-laundry safe. For the Mashreq and ADCB VIP partner kits we deliver 200-piece orders quarterly.
