Templates to brief a supplier, and templates to be briefed
Eight working documents, free to download, covering the brand book, the request for proposal and the checks that follow.
Eight templates (8)
The brand book checklist asks 30 questions about a brand before anything is printed, covering logo placement, clear space, scaling rules, the colour reference, typography, photography style, tone and the exclusions that make artwork unusable. The full brand book template has 50 sections and gives a team a structure to fill rather than a page to imitate. Between them they settle the arguments that normally happen after the first strike-off, when the artwork is already on a screen.
On the buying side
The request for proposal template has 14 sections and arrives as a PDF, a Word file and a spreadsheet, so the pricing matrix can be answered without retyping. The vendor evaluation checklist scores 85 criteria across capability, pricing, quality, compliance, sustainability, logistics, communication, financial stability and references, each rated from one to five, which gives a weighted total instead of an impression. More than 50 procurement teams use this checklist as their shortlist framework.
The order quantity planner is a self-contained spreadsheet with no external formula dependencies. It takes a budget, a target unit count, a branding method and a packaging tier, then returns whether the project is feasible, which tier the volume places it in, where the volume discount steps sit and the point at which new tooling costs more than it saves. The carbon worksheet calculates cradle-to-gate emissions per project using the Scope 1, 2 and 3 categories of the GHG Protocol, with an output in kilograms of CO2 equivalent per item and for the project as a whole, which is the format a sustainability team needs for CSRD reporting.
On the kit side
The welcome kit specification sets out three versions of the same kit, standard, premium and executive, with the item list, material specification, branding requirement, packaging, distribution method and a budget breakdown for each. The packaging design brief has 20 sections for designers, with dimensions, finishing techniques such as foil, deboss and emboss, print specifications carrying the Pantone codes, inserts, closure, sustainability requirements and minimum quantity, plus annotated examples of a filled brief.
Request any of them through the form and the file arrives as an email attachment, with a short note on which parts we would change for a UAE buyer.
